Pre-war homes in cities like Trenton, Elizabeth, New Brunswick, and Asbury Park have plaster-and-lath walls, galvanized plumbing, original hardwood, and construction methods that have not been standard for half a century. Patching plaster is not the same as patching drywall. Replacing a faucet in a home with galvanized supply lines is not the same as working with PEX or copper. We know the difference.
